Eduardo Fernández keeps twenty hives of native heritage bees on the slopes of Montgó Natural Park, above the sea. He does not describe his honey by the year or the batch. He describes it by the bloom: which of the mountain's fifty-plus native flora species flowered, how well, and which ones failed to appear at all. Each harvest is a diagnosis of the landscape written in taste. His hives are also a business, and a way of bringing people onto the mountain to understand what pollination actually is. This is the first episode of Season One.
