Taste of Happiness
We care about our food, but forget the people behind it.

Food starts long before the table.

We care about our food, but forget the people behind it.

Taste of Happiness is a cinematic documentary series about the people behind our food. It begins on the Costa Blanca, Spain, with new destinations to follow.

Somewhere between the soil and the table, we forgot the people behind it.

We care about what we eat, but we almost never ask: who makes this possible?
But some people never forgot. A beekeeper on the mountain above the sea who reads the health of wildflowers by tasting his honey. A farmer growing a forgotten rice variety. A woman bringing an ancient Roman wine estate back to life. A former director of Tate Modern, now curating the world's largest living collection of citrus.

Almost nobody is telling their stories, but we will.

Understanding where our food comes from is fundamental. Farmers, foragers, fishers are the real heroes, yet almost nobody celebrates them or talks about what they are doing, or why they do it. That is why we created Taste of Happiness: to give them a voice and put them on stage.

Cinema that changes how we experience a place.

At the heart of Taste of Happiness is a cinematic documentary series about people who shape the food culture of a place long before it reaches the kitchen.
The Food Heroes tell their own stories, in their own language. Around the films grows a platform exploring food heritage, biodiversity and regeneration.
Together, these stories reveal a destination from the inside: through its people, seasons, traditions and living food culture.

How the story unfolds

Four Pillars. One living system.

Food is never one story. It begins in soil, travels through seed and skilled hands, and reaches us through fire. Our Four Pillars follow those connections - not as separate categories, but as parts of one living system. Each Food Hero may enter through a different pillar, but their story never ends there.

"Food to me means community. Food is a love language; it’s a bridge between cultures. The soul of a region is in rural areas, and in street food stands. I want people to see a place in the most authentic way."
